“Azarnoush means hollyburn but everyone calls her by her nickname, Azi. She is a 4th year integrated science student with a focus of psychology and physiology at UBC. She is interested in prenatal alcohol exposure research field, prevention and treatment methods for children with PAE. Azi is a research assistant for MARI and she is part of the planning committee of MARI 2020 conference. She has presented her own research at MURC conference 2019 with a focus of “Morphometric measurements of larynx and trachea”. Azi enjoys the occasional sports such as swimming and yoga. She has extensive background in arts, she uses oil colour as her medium and her focus is feminist art. In the future she hopes to continue her education in medicine and becomes a physician.”
